6 Things I Tried To Keep My Dog Off Her Stitches
XL cotton t-shirt, cut so it tied at the waist. This was good for when I was home, but not enough on its own.

Soft cone - terrifying. I came home to her standing, panting, eyes bugging out of her head.

Racing muzzle. Greyhound people recommend this for stitches situations - the dog can't lick or chew and greyhounds are "used to it." I was reluctant to try this but did. I came home to the muzzle shattered on one side, dangling off her face.

Soft harness over t-shirt, to try to cover stitches. Worked ok when she was standing, but not when she was lying down. And it moved around too much.

Inflatable donut collar - she was kind of wary of it but also accepting of it as a perpetual pillow. Ok to use when I'm home.

Homemade t-shirt made from cotton Lions t-shirt and cotton fleece scraps, with extra layers of fleece in the stitches area and a longer neck, to restrict access.
